Every other form builder treats signup like a lead capture funnel. You hit their homepage, click Start Free, and the next screen is a form asking for your email, your name, your company, your role, and sometimes a credit card. That is before you have seen a single feature.

We think that is backward. The people who need a form builder are usually in the middle of something else — building a landing page, setting up a waitlist, collecting feedback after an event — and friction is the enemy. So we removed the signup wall entirely. Open CraftForm, build your form, share it. If you like it, create an account later. If you don't, no harm done.

1. Open craftform.co/builder. The editor loads instantly.
2. Drag fields, customise text, colours, and logic.
3. Click Preview to see the live form.
4. Click Publish. We generate a unique share URL tied to a secret key in your browser.
5. Copy the share URL and send it to your respondents.
6. Responses are stored against your anonymous form ID.
7. When you're ready, click Claim and create a free account. Your form and all responses transfer to your account.

The secret key lives in your browser's local storage. As long as you do not clear your browser data, you can come back to edit the form at any time — or you can claim it to a free account and manage it from the dashboard.

A few other tools advertise "no signup" but have caveats. Google Forms requires a Google account. Typeform requires a signup after 3 forms. Tally and Jotform require an email to save. Forms built without an account are still encrypted in transit and at rest. The form data lives on our servers, keyed by a random ID, and only accessible to anyone who holds the secret key stored in your browser. If you lose the browser data and have not claimed the form, the form is lost — so we recommend claiming once you start getting responses you care about.

Anonymous forms are fully GDPR compliant. We store data in the EU, we provide a DPA on request, and you can delete your form and all associated responses at any time.
